Event Notification Service

'Staying in the Know'

KHIE's Event Notification Service offers the ability to inform providers about specific healthcare events that have occurred with patients in their care (on their patient panel) for the purposes of treatment, quality improvement, and care coordination activities.

Partnering with KHIE to receive clinical notifications about a patient's specific medical encounter, such as admission to or discharge from an Emergency Department, supports care coordination activities across disparate providers.

KHIE Portal users can stay 'in the know' as their patients transition from various healthcare settings back to the practice.  Clinicians can see notifications about patients on their panel in the Population Explorer application. When a notification is received, the clinician will see the notification in Population Explorer and can also view any clinical information - such as discharge and follow-up instructions related to the encounter - that has been shared with KHIE,
